Samherji Kicks off Production in New Plant
Iceland-based Samherji began production in its brand-new production plant in the village of Dalvík.
Samherji’s new high-tech plant is one of the most advanced in the groundfish industry and is one of a kind in regard to its technology and equipment, according to the company.
“This went better than one dared to hope, as it is always demanding to implement new equipment,” Gestur Geirsson, managing director of Samherji's land-based production said. “It will take time to train the staff who are learning to use new technologies..."
