Norway’s Seafood Exports Levels for July Match Previous Year; Salmon Sees Growth in Volume
In the month of July, Norway exported NOK 7.9 billion in seafood, maintaining the same export levels as last year. For the year, Norway has exported NOK 60.8 billion worth of seafood, a three percent increase in value.
The Norwegian Seafood Council (NSC) highlighted three factors behind July’s export statistics.
First, the weakened Norwegian krone contributed to the increase in seafood value. However, there has been a significant difference in value between species.
