NL Fisheries Minister Announces $400K Marketing Fund for Seafood Following Impacts of COVID-19
Gerry Byrne, the Minister of Fisheries and Land Resources for Newfoundland and Labrador, announced a CAD $400,000 seafood marketing and innovation fund.
The fund will help market seafood products for retail and other established markets following the impact COVID-19 had on seafood sales to foodservice and restaurants.
“Our seafood industry has felt the impact of COVID-19 and we’re here to help our processors and aquaculture operators identify new markets, adapt existing products, and develop new products to meet changing customer needs leading to a rebound in seafood sales,” Byrne said...
