Frozen-at-sea Flying Squid from NW Pacific Starts 20% Cheaper at Hachinohe in Aomori Prefecture
At Hachinohe Port, Aomori Prefecture, the high sea frozen flying squid sales from the summer fishery in the northwest Pacific began on July 9. The first landing was 2,571 cases (1 case averaged 10.5 kg) or approximately 27,000 tons by a medium-sized vessel that had temporarily returned to port in mid-June due to an engine failure.
