Sernapesca: Fishing Period for Sardines, Anchovies Comes to An End Until October
Sernapesca announced that the fishing period for minor pelagics in the Maule, Ñuble, Biobío and Los Ríos regions came to a close earlier this week. The reproductive closure for common sardine and anchovy occurs every year in the month of July and runs through October 4, when purse-seine fleets are allowed to resume operations.
