U Maryland’s Wilberg Wins President’s Science Award for Oyster Management Work
Citing the importance of not only understanding the science behind fisheries management, but being able to express it to layman, University of Maryland’s President Peter Goodwin named Professor Michael Wilberg the latest recipient of the President’s Award for Excellence in Application of Science.
The prestigious award recognized Wilberg’s “ongoing and impactful efforts on the science and outstanding communication of oyster management with stakeholders, partners, and policymakers.”
