Norwegian Salmon Exports to China Fall 97 Percent Following Beijing Outbreak
In its latest industry update, the Norwegian Seafood Council (NSC) noted a 97 percent decline in fresh salmon exports to China last week, when compared to the previous year.
"The sharp fall in weekly exports of salmon to China must be seen in light of recent outbreak of Covid-19 in Beijing and the effects this has had on the trade and demand of salmon,” Victoria Braathen, the Norwegian Seafood Council's Country Director in China said.
