Researchers Project Habitats of American Lobster, Scallops to Move as Waters Warm
Lobster and sea scallops on the Northeast U.S. will react as waters warm and create noticeable changes in the habitat of the species, researchers said.
In an update from NOAA, researchers project that American lobster will move offshore while sea scallops will shift to the north in the coming decades. Findings from this study were published in the Diversity and Distribution journal.
