JAPAN: COVID-19 Reduced April Seafood Imports by Air, Down 20-90%
According to the April Customs Statistics released by the Ministry of Finance, marine products imported by air freight were significantly affected by the spread of the new coronavirus infection. The dominant fish species fell substantially
below the previous year. The amount of decline was one-third of the same month last year in quantities, and the value was almost halved, the lowest monthly import record in recent years.
