Bakkafrost Orders New Hybrid Wellboat to Lower Carbon Footprint
Bakkafrost, a leading producer of Atlantic salmon from the Faroe Islands, will lower its carbon footprint with a new order for a hybrid wellboat equipped with battery storage systems. The vessel, being built at the Sefine shipyard in Turkey, will carry 1,000 tons of salmon when it is delivered in 2022.
