Study: Longfin Squid Fishery Provides More Than 2,500 Jobs, $30 Million in Revenue Annually
According to a new study from the Science Center for Marine Fisheries (SCEMFIS), the longfin squid fishery provides over $30 million in direct revenue annually and just shy of $100 million in total income in the New England and Mid-Atlantic Region.
The fishery also provides more than 2,500 jobs and $243 million in total economic output.
