DFO Delays Area 12 Snow Crab Opening to April 24; 2020 Quota Decreases
The Department of Fisheries and Oceans Canada has delayed the opening of snow crab fishing in the Gulf of St. Lawrence due to the coronavirus. Fisheries Minister Bernadette Jordan confirmed to CBC News over the weekend that the opening of the 2020 season in Area 12 has been pushed back to April 24.
