Alaska fishermen and plant operators are grappling with pulling off a season in a time when simple tasks like hiring a line crew or getting the boat inspected are no longer so easy to do.
The whole idea of social-distancing on a 40-foot boat with a crew of four, setting gear, pulling gear, delivering, eating and sleeping, strains the imagination. Add to that having an observer on board, and potentially dealing with an infected crew member getting sick.
