WTO Hears From G7 Leaders: Cooperate, Share Data, Support Trade
The World Trade Organization’s Director-General Roberto Azevêdo welcomed a co-ordinated statement by G7 leaders on Tuesday that called for closer cooperation to fight the COVID-19 pandemic and minimize its economic fallout.
The group of seven leading industrial countries are Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, United Kingdom, United States.
“This global challenge requires a global response, on the public health front and in the economy,” said Director-General Azevêdo. “It is only by working together that we will find solutions.”
