Bumble Bee, FCF and Ocean Outcomes Team up for FIP to Improve Indian Ocean Tuna Fisheries

Bumble Bee Foods, FCF Co and Ocean Outcomes launched an initiative to improve the sustainability of Bumble Bee source fisheries in the Indian Ocean.

Ocean Outcomes explained the initiative as “the first of its kind in the region for longline vessels catching albacore tuna.” Currently, no albacore tuna or longline fishery in the Indian Ocean is certified as sustainable.

The team hopes to improve the sustainability of Bumble Bee’ fisheries in the region in the coming years. Through a new fishery improvement project...
