Appeals Court Says SF Herring Fishermen Can Move Forward in Suit to Fish in the Parts of the Bay
The San Francisco Herring Association can move forward in its case against the National Park Service/Department of the Interior, the Ninth U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals ruled recently. The case revolves around the ban on commercial herring fishing in waters that are part of the Golden Gate National Recreation Area.
The opinion issued Dec. 31, 2019, allows the Association to pursue a lawsuit that was originally filed in 2013.
