Charleston, Ore., Ice Dock is Total Loss After Friday Morning Fire
Strong southerly winds fanned the flames of a small fire into a full-on blaze Friday morning in Charleston, Ore., as the Oregon International Port of Coos Bay's ice plant burned.
Port maintenance staff were making daily rounds of the marina's facilities shortly before 8 a.m. and thought they saw flames in the ice plant building, according to a Port press release.
