FCC Welcomes Northern Coalition Corporation as a New Member
Northern Coalition, an alliance of fisheries-based social enterprises, joined the Fisheries Council of Canada recently.
The six enterprise corporations in Northern Coalition are owned and operated by the indigenous communities of Canada’s Eastern Arctic and Labrador. They are either indigenous birthright corporations, pursuant to respective Inuit land claim agreements in Nunavut, Nunavik and Nunatsiavut, or are community-based organizations owned predominantly by indigenous residents in Labrador.
