ANALYSIS: Stone Crab Season Off to Promising Start
The 2019-2020 stone crab season opened on October 15 and is set to run through May 15. By all accounts, last season was a disappointment in terms of landings. Last year we saw the lowest landings in Florida state history, at roughly 1.9 million pounds; a 24% drop from the 5-year average harvest of 2.5 million pounds.
