September imports were released today and show a 1.1 percent decline in total volume, but the nine-month total remains 1.1 percent ahead of Jan-Sep 2019.
Of our top seven trade partners, India (+11.4%), Indonesia (+5.6%), Vietnam (+8.2%) and Mexico (+72.9%) shipped more. Meanwhile, Ecuador (-2.4%), Thailand (-11.1%) and China (-70.4%) sent less shrimp to the U.S.
In terms of product form, the U.S. continued to import more headless shell-on, which includes easy peel, (+1.1%) and peeled (+3.6%)...
