Atlantic States Commission Reduces Striped Bass Quotas by 18%, Adopts Addendum VI
The black sea bass fishery is under new management rules aimed at reducing catch and discards by 18% in 2020. The 15-member Atlantic States Marine Fisheries Commission adopted Addendum VI of Amendment 6 last week, reducing all state commercial quotas by 18%, implementing a 1 fish bag limit and a 28”-35” recreational slot limit for ocean fisheries and a 1 fish bag limit and an 18” minimum size limit for Chesapeake Bay recreational fisheries.
