Senator Maria Cantwell (D-WA) urged a Congressional committee to prepare for the risks of offshore finfish farming at a hearing yesterday. The Senate Committee on Commerce, Science, and Transportation is considering legislation to encourage more aquaculture fish farming in U.S. waters.
