Republic of Marshall Islands’ Bigeye and Yellowfin Tuna Fishery Achieves MSC Certification
A Republic of Marshall Islands-based fishery achieved certification to the Marine Stewardship Council’s (MSC) standard for sustainable fishing.
Longline vessels with an eye for bigeye and yellowfin tuna that are under the management of the Marshall Islands Fishing Venture, are now MSC certified.
“This certification is a significant moment in our company’s history and marks the culmination of five years hard work,” Joe Murphy, senior vice president of marketing of Liancheng Overseas Fishery said.
