Yesterday the Department of Fish and Game and the National Marine Fisheries Service announced the catch limits for Bering Sea snow crab of 34.019 million pounds for the 2019/2020 season. The total breaks down to 30,617,100 pounds for the IFQ fishery and 3,401,900 for the Community Development Quota sector. This is a 24% increase over the 27.5 million pound quota announced last year.
