U.S. Files Complaint Against South Korea Due to Illegal Fishing
For the first time ever, the United States Trade Representative that it intends to seek environmental consultations with Korea under the Environment Chapter of the U.S. – Korea Free Trade Agreement (KORUS) over illegal fishing.
The request comes after the release of The U.S. National Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS) biennial report to Congress identifying illegal, unreported, and unregulated (IUU) fishing.
