ANALYSIS: Chinese Catfish Stays Domestic Due to African Swine Fever
According to an analysis from Urner Barry's Pork Market Reporter, Russ Barton, the U.S. exported more pork to China than Japan in July, the first time ever in history. With China essentially consuming more pork than all other countries combined, the impact on global pork and subsequent center-of-the-plate protein trade could be substantial as they try to fill the gap left by ASF.
