Alaska Sockeye Harvest Largest Since 1995, Fishing Winding Down Except for Late Runs
Total Alaska sockeye landings as of September 10 are 55.21 million fish, the largest landings since 1995, when 63.35 million were caught.
Although Bristol Bay accounts for most of that, the area that brought the total over the top for this year was Kodiak, still fishing for sockeye, late run pinks, and coho.
