StarKist Ordered to Pay $100 Million Fine for Price-Fixing Scandal
StarKist was sentenced to pay a maximum criminal fine of $100 million for its role in a canned tuna price-fixing conspiracy. The company was also sentenced to a 13-month term of probation.
According to the Wall Street Journal, StarKist CEO Andrew Choe said that the company takes full responsibility and had cooperated with the investigation.
