Russia Sets Record Price for First Crab Auctions This Year
The Russian government has officially approved the initial cost for crab auctions at the record RUB 125.5 billion (1.8 billion USD) for the current year, sparking criticism from the majority of local producers and analysts.
That became 1.5 times higher than the initially planned RUB 80 billion and, according to predictions of local analysts, may result in a significant decline of interest of many of Russian crab producers to participate in the auctions.
