ANALYSIS: Crab Meat Imports Drop in June, Uncertainty Grows with China Harvest on Horizon
Several areas for pasteurized crab meat saw monthly drops in June. Overall, June imports are down 13.4 percent, compared to the month of May. Several countries are down for this month including the Philippines which is down 3.4 percent for the year and down 42.6 percent for the month of June. Currently, they hold a 9.3 percent market share for crab meat behind Indonesia and Venezuela.
