NY/NJ Baykeeper Deploys 1 Million Oysters in Raritan Bay
NY/NJ Baykeeper, an organization that aims to protect, preserve and restore the ecological integrity and productivity of the NY-NJ Harbor Estuary, announced that they have deployed one million oysters in the Raritan Bay.
The juvenile oysters were transported from Leonardo State Marina and taken to the Living Shoreline at Naval Weapons Station Earle (NWSE), where they were introduced by scientists working with NY/NJ Baykeeper.
