Vietnam’s Low Basa Prices Produce Ripple Effect in China; Shrimp Sector Likely to Boost Exports
In early July, prices of Vietnam’s basa are reported to have dropped to the lowest level within the past three years, according to industry and media reports. Large basa are sold at only 19,500 VND per kg ($0.84/kg USD), which has declined by about 10,000 VND per kg ($0.43/kg USD) compared with January.
