Russia Plans to Build At Least 30 New Crab Vessels in Coming Years
More than 30 vessels designed for crab harvesting in Russia will be built at the country’s shipyards within the next several years, according to recent statements of some of the country’s leading fishermen and senior officials of the Russian Federal Agency of Fisheries (Rosrybolovstvo).
Building of these ships will be part of the agreement between the Russian government and the country’s leading crab producers in exchange for crab quotas in Russia's territorial waters.
