Russia Considering Changes to Foreign Quotas This Year
Russia may significantly cut quotas provided to foreign fishing companies for harvest in Russian territorial waters, according to recent statements of some representatives of the Russian Rosrybolovstvo and senior executives of the Russian Ministry of Agriculture.
The change is mainly due to massive violations of the existing international agreements for the catch in the Russian territorial waters, which have been committed by foreign fishermen in recent months, representatives said.
