StarKist Battles Gov’t Demand for $100 Million Fine, Says it Should Pay $50 Million
StarKist is the last remaining corporate defendant in the tuna price-fixing lawsuit bought by the US government. It is contesting a government filing asking for a $100 million fine.
At the same time, StarKist has made a number of settlements with customers that arose out of the price-fixing scheme.
