CPF Buys 75% Stake in Sri Lanka Shrimp Farmer Lotus Aquaculture
CPF (India) Pvt. Ltd., an indirect subsidiary of Charoen Pokphand Foods (CPF) has acquired a 75% stake in Lotus Aquaculture Lanka (Private) Ltd., a shrimp producer in Sri Lanka, for 47 million baht (approximately USD 1.5 million).
"This will allow CPF to enter into shrimp business in Sri Lanka due to its market potential and capabilities in shrimp farming and export opportunities," CPF said in a statement filed with the Stock Exchange of Thailand.
