The standoff over shrimp pricing in Oregon has some shrimpers asking if they should seek a mandatory state price setting mechanism.
Shrimpers in Oregon have tied up this year after failing to get processors to agree to an average price of over $.70 per lb. Last year, the price was 72 cents in May, and the average price for the year reported by Pacfin in Oregon was 75 cents.
