Rising Demand, Unstable Supply Force China to Start Processing More Basa
China has spent more efforts developing its basa industry thanks to rising demand and an unstable supply from Vietnam. More companies have planned or begun to process basa products. On the early morning of May 13, one Zhanjiang aquatic company, Zhong Yi, received 43,000 jin (1 jin=0.5 kilo) of basa from Hainan, which were the first batch to be processed in China this year, according to media reports.
