U.S. Consumers Turning to Shopping Apps to Buy from Home

Smartphones are changing the way that people shop. A new study released by Visual Objects has found that 35% of U.S. consumers are using shopping apps to make purchases between two to five times a week.

According to the latest study, which surveyed 501 smartphone users, the most popular shopping apps being used are from mass merchant retailers like Target, Walmart and Costco, with 81% of those surveyed using them. However, pure online retailers, like Amazon or Overstock, are not far behind with 77% ...
