Crab Season Delayed Again in California; Oregon/Washington Seasons in Flux
The West Coast Dungeness crab season openings remain in flux following winter storms the week before Christmas and limited testing in southern Oregon.
The California Department of Fish and Wildlife announced Friday that the Northern California crab season would remain closed until Jan. 15 due to poor meat quality.
A third round of testing showed southern Oregon still has issues with meat recovery and domoic acid, so Curry County and part of Coos County will remain closed for the time being.
