BioMar Increasing Capacity At Ecuador Shrimp Feed Factory

BioMar announced on Tuesday that they will be increasing the capacity of their shrimp feed factory in Ecuador by 2020. According to a press release from the company, a new extrusion line will “add approximately 40,000 tons capacity.”

“We have experienced a strong growth in Ecuador since the acquisition of Alimentsa in 2017 and we currently operate at our capacity limit,” Henrik Aarestrup, BioMar Group’s VP of Emerging markets, said in a press release. “For our customers the new line will mean increased flexibility and increased choice...
