PEI Lobster Fishermen to Discuss Rule Limiting Their Hours of Operation Between 9 p.m. and 4 a.m.

The issue of restricted hours for lobster fishers will come up again at an upcoming Southern Gulf Lobster Advisory Committee meeting December 4th and 5th.

The MFU (Maritime Fishermen's Union) wants to reinstate a rule that no gear could be aboard vessels between 9 pm and 4 am.  This rule was in place for many years, but was removed by the DFO in a new management plan several years ago,

The MFU wants to apply the rule in LFA 25 ...
