On September 5, China’s shrimp price index is reported to be 109.98, which has risen by 3.75 percent from that of August 29.
This week the country’s average farm gate prices of white shrimp have been rising and the increase ranges between 2 yuan to 3 yuan per jin ($0.58/kg to $0.87/kg USD) in several regions.
This increase is primarily a result of price changes in the provinces of South China like Guangdong.
