Copper River Sockeye Landings Below Expectations, Chinook Above

The Copper River gillnet fleet has landed and estimated total of 126,000 sockeye salmon as of last week. The cumulative catch is lower than anticipated catches by May 26 by some 42,000 sockeye, according to ADF&G.
Totals for yesterday's 10-hour opener, which ended at 12 a.m. this morning, will be available later today.
