Peru Hikes Anchovy Quota 1 Million Metric Tons With Season Set to Start on April 22

Peru’s Ministry of Production announced a 2.8 million metric ton fishing quota for its first fishery season, which will start on April 22.
This quota is up 55 percent from last year, a one million metric ton increase.
"We have the satisfaction of having found an important level of biomass that confirms that we are doing well. We are leaving little more than 6 million tons at sea, a lot more baggage than normal for fishing to be sustainable," said Peru’s Production Minister Bruno Giuffra...
