Warm Weather in Japan Hurts Sales of Pot Cusine Seafood, Such as Crab

At a recent meeting of the Japan Federation of Seafood Wholesalers, reports on end of year sales were lackluster.
Sales of seafood for pot cusine, such as crab used in Shabu Shabu, were sluggish during the end of year sales season, according to wholesalers at the meeting.
High prices hampered the sales of crab, and also hampered sales of farmed blowfish.
Another wholesaler at the meeting, from Kobe, said that wholesalers had a hard time in sales because of soaring prices of popular end-year species..
