Forget Doom and Gloom! West Coast Groundfish Gets Boost to Continue Successful Marketing Campaign

The outlook is positive for Positively Groundfish.

After two years of outreach and education, the non-profit organization was recently awarded a $299,516 Saltonstall-Kennedy grant to push into a new phase: developing a health and nutrition-focused marketing campaign designed to increase domestic demand for West Coast groundfish.

Oregon seafood is chef-approved: About two dozen of the region's top chefs are sharing their experiences for at-home seafood preparation as part of the #EatOregonSeafood initiative.

Conservation Group, Ocean Gold Get S-K Funding for Nearshore Pelagics Study

Casual conversation over coffee has turned into fully-funded collaborative sardine research project between the seafood industry and fishery scientists.

Ocean Gold Seafood, based in Westport, Wash., received word this week it received a $295,800 Saltonstall-Kennedy grant on behalf of the West Coast Pelagic Conservation Group.
