Marine Harvest Posts Sharply Lower Q2 Earnings with Production Also Down 8%

Marine Harvest reported lower salmon production and earnings in the second quarter this year compared to the same time in 2014.
The major Norwegian-based salmon producer with farming operations around the world reported 104,000 tons of gutted weight production for the quarter, about an 8 percent decline from the same time last year.
Its Norwegian operation was the top producer with 64,000 tons of production. Marine Harvest's Scottish and Canadian farms each produced 12,000 tons. The company also reported 3,000 tons of production from "Other" sites...
