Minnesota Taking Steps to Stop Spread of Zebra Mussels to Local Waters

In an evident attempt to stop the spread of zebra mussels and other invasive species to the local waters, some noteworthy measures are being taken by Minnesota. One of the planned measures will require boaters to stand by for inspection in local lakes and rivers.
Officials said boaters should actively check all parts of their boats for the presence of zebra mussels. Authorities concerned have made it clear that they have been aggressively looking for zebra mussels in the vessels that travel in affected areas.
