Hanjin Shipping Leaves Port of Portland; Port Shutdown Hurting Pacific Seafoods Exports to China

Two years of slowdowns and labor disputes have driven Hanjin shipping out of the Port of Portland. The recent 4 day shutdown was just icing on the cake.
Hanjin has sent a note to its customers saying that the Hanjin Brussels, scheduled for March 4th, is the last vessel to call on Portland. According to the letter, the Port of Portland would only be serviced by truck and rail via the Seattle port.
